SCUM modeling seems to be a reaction to or assault against vain photography. However, it employs the same aesthetic, motifs, ideas etc. that it aims to criticize. “Intentional,” says SCUM founder, photographer, and editor Ryan O’Melia. “It’s only 50 % vilification.
